Addicted to Smallville, that's me. I can watch the episodes from all seven seasons over and over and not tire of them. The writing is finely tuned, the characterization is well developed and believable, the plot is ever twisting and full of surprises. If one can fall in love with a television show, I have.
The premise of Smallville is Clark Kent in his early years before he grew to become Superman. I was never particularly a fan of Superman before Smallville. I was not a comic book reader. I liked the Christopher Reeve Superman movies somewhat, but basically I could take or leave the subject of Superman before the Smallville television series came along.
Purely by accident I happened upon a Smallville episode one day, and in no time I was hooked. The characters are complex and endearing, and the storyline took me along a path to understanding how a boy billionaire could start out wanting to be Clark's friend and grow to become Superman's arch enemy. Each week I tuned in, and bought all the DVD's to rewatch episodes, and collected the magazines and other collectibles. I am hooked.
For my future posts I will be presenting Smallville Trivia. I am neither affiliated with nor endorsed by creators of the show or WB/CW. Smallville and all associated characters are copyrighted by WB/CW, no copyright infringement intended. I intend this blog to celebrate my enjoyment of this outstanding series, and hope others will join in to watch if they are not already viewers.
